Untethered

My writing has slipped this week. No nights at the library. No early mornings at the dining room table. And I’m feeling untethered. Time to get out the calendar and plot a schedule.

  1. I had the exact feeling yesterday! I finished two semi-big projects last week and thought I would have the nights at the library and the early mornings at the table with coffee and the sun streaming in…but I haven’t done it. I literally had the exact thought yesterday and realized I do need a schedule. Thank you. Somehow hearing your honest post helps. “I’m Rachel and I’ve come un-tethered.”

    • Congrats on finishing two big projects! Your stamina amazes and inspires me. As we reach the end of the week, I’ve accepted it’s just “one of those weeks.” It is comforting to know I’m not alone! Normally, Isabella is with Chris during the hours I write, but he’s been so sick this week–with Lyme disease, we discovered yesterday–so I’ve shifted from being anxious/frustrated to just plain grateful that he’s gotten a diagnosis, antibiotics, and is on his way to recovery.
