Father’s Day

Sitting on the porch with my guy, a dedicated, hardworking dad, strong and tender, who takes his toddler for early morning walks to the beach and teaches her the names of all the birds, who reads her books and hums until she falls asleep at night.

And my dad, just down the road, so in love with his granddaughter. Seeing them together is like finding myself inside favorite childhood memories.

Feeling so fortunate this Father’s Day.

  1. The names of all the birds – I really, really love this. Children are over-flowing with happiness from being surrounded by books and nature all day – and our presence. That is seemingly all they need.
