The Day’s Gifts

Writing is just plain hard this week. I’m still heavy-hearted. Also, solo-parenting while C is away on a business trip. Trying to focus on the beauty of the foliage still hanging on, the lawn carpeted with crunchy leaves. The $3.99 flower bouquet from Trader Joe’s. My daughter reading books to me that she’s memorized. Crisp air. Hot tea. The painted sky.
